An evening of celebrations took place at Áras Inis Gluaire recently with a group of local students gathering to receive their awards. The recent adult Graduates of Athlone Institute of Technology were awarded their HETAC Level 6 Higher Certificate in Workplace & Community Studies. They were joined by a very special guest; Minister of State at Department of Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht Affairs, Mr Joe McHugh who congratulated them all on their achievement. Also present at the awards ceremony were representatives from the funding bodies who contributed to the costs of providing this third level education here in the Erris Community and the Academics and representatives from Equal Ireland who facilitated the course alongside the AIT Lecturers. As many of these graduates are now progressing on to the B. A. Level 7 Business Enterprise & Community Development, we wish them luck with their future studies. Congratulations!
